After two weeks, the Islamic world receives the holy month of Ramadan, and we call during this holy period to respect these days and agree to the ceasefire, which reflects the values of mercy and human solidarity embodied by the month of Ramadan, which provides a prominent and important opportunity to alleviate the tremendous suffering of the Sudanese people – which forms women and children Most of it.
This conference will ensure the provision of the necessary resources to humanitarian organizations to provide assistance to the Sudanese people during this holy month.
Since April 2023, the UAE has made more than 400 million US dollars to support the Sudanese people (in Sudan and in neighboring countries that have received large numbers of refugees). Today, we reaffirm our fixed commitment to the Sudanese people by announcing the allocation of an additional $ 200 million of humanitarian aid. This support confirms our firm solidarity in the past decade, during which we provided 3.5 billion US dollars to our brothers and sisters in Sudan.
