The Ministry of Foreign Affairs commemorates the death of Peter Boutros Ghali

The ninth anniversary of the death of Dr. Boutros Boutros Ghali, one of the most prominent symbols of Egyptian diplomacy and law, and the former general secretary of the United Nations during the period 1992-1996, leaving behind a great and extended legacy in supporting international development, peace, security and peaceful coexistence.

Boutros Ghali is one of the most important flags of Egyptian diplomacy in its history, as it excited it with a lot of dedication and giving, and left a broken balance of achievements and illuminated signs in a professional march characterized by integrity and sincerity in work and craftsmanship in regional and international forums.

Since the assumption of d. Ghali, the position of Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, left a historical imprint in the efforts to achieve peace in the Middle East, defending Egyptian and Arab positions, as well as his interest in the African continent and its support for many issues of the continent and supporting African development. During his assumption of the position of Secretary -General of the United Nations, as the first Arab and African, he was keen to apply the principles of the United Nations Charter without discrimination, and he strived to develop the mechanisms of the work of the international organization through international initiatives whose effects remain extended until now.
