6 matches in the third assembly for "Moving chairs basket" Dubai
Dubai, February 17/ WAM/ The third assembly of the basketball league on the wheelchairs, which was organized over two days at the Dubai Club for People of Determination, was concluded yesterday, amid strong competitions from the participants, in the presence of His Excellency Mohamed Fadel Al -Hamli, Chairman of the Paralympic Committee, and Dhiman Salem Al -Muhairi, Secretary -General.
Six matches were organized, the results of which resulted in the Jorvakkan club’s victory over the Dubai Club for the owners of determination, 74 – 58, and the trust club for the disabled over the Al Ain Club for the owners of determination 53-51.
In the third match, Khor Fakkan continued its victories, as it achieved a great victory over Al -Thiqa Club with a score of 71-41, while Dubai club managed to outperform Al Ain Club in the fourth meeting, with a score of 71-51.
In the fifth match, Khorfakkan club scored a clear superiority and resolved the confrontation against Al Ain Club with a score of 86 – 44, while the gathering concluded with a strong match between Dubai and Al -Thiqa Club, which ended with Dubai winning 48-37.
After the end of the matches, His Excellency Mohamed Fadel Al -Hamli praised the distinguished level in which the various teams appeared, stressing the importance of making more effort to preserve the gains achieved by the sport of people of determination in the Emirates.
Al -Hamli said that the strong performance and the competitive spirit that witnessed the competitions reflects the great progress of the sport of people of determination in the country, expressing their aspiration to the continuation of this development through more work and commitment, in preparation for the upcoming international benefits, noting that these tournaments are an important station in preparing players for external competitions .
