The Kingdom continues its great pioneering role in resolving conflicts around the world, given its international status and confidence from the leaders of the major countries.
The Kingdom believes that the dialogue is the only way to solve all international crises, so its hosting of Russian -American discussions comes after hosting many summits that were established for reform among peoples, over the course of a great history.

Taif Agreement

On September 30, 1989, the Kingdom gathered in the city of Taif and sponsored by King Fahd bin Abdulaziz – may God have mercy on him – 62 Lebanese deputies representing all parties to the conflict and civil war in Lebanon.

At that time, the Kingdom concluded a conclusion of a reconciliation agreement known as the “Taif Agreement” to end this agreement the Lebanese civil war.

An agreement between the Fatah and Hamas movements

On February 8, 2007, the Kingdom witnessed the facts of an agreement between the Fatah and Hamas movements, in the city of Makkah, and at which time the Saudi efforts succeeded in reuniting the Palestinian parties, after a delegation of Fatah and Hamas in Makkah reached an agreement to form a government of national unity.
The agreement stipulated that emphasize the sanctity of Palestinian blood, and take all necessary measures and arrangements for that.

Janadriyah agreement between Sudan and Chad

On May 3, 2007, the Kingdom succeeded in ending a rivalry that lasted for more than three years between Sudan and Chad.
At that time, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, may God have mercy on him, sponsored him and was called the “Janadriyah Agreement”, and reconciliation took place between the two countries on his farm in Janadriyah, and the Sudanese Presidents Omar Hassan Al -Bashir signed it, and the Taddish Idris Deby.

Makkah announcement

On July 11, 2018, Jeddah and Makkah hosted the International Conference on Muslim Scholars on Peace and Stability in the Republic of Afghanistan.
The parties to the conflict called on the government and the Taliban movement to comply with the principles of the true religion, calling for the rejection of violence and the division to achieve reconciliation and extinguish the fire of sedition, in the agreement that was called the “Mecca Declaration”.

Jeddah Peace Agreement

On September 16, 2018, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him –The reconciliation agreement between Eritrea and Ethiopia in Jeddah.
At that time, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abi Ahmed and Eritrean President Asia Affarate signed the “Jeddah Peace Agreement”.

Jeddah Agreement

The “Jeddah Agreement” also collected on September 17, 2018 between the President of Djibouti Ismail Qili and his Eritrean counterpart Asias Ephurgi; In response to the invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him –In the second meeting between two African leaders to hold reconciliation in the Kingdom 10 years after the estrangement between the two countries.

Riyadh Agreement

The Kingdom also sponsored the signing of the “Riyadh Agreement” between the Yemeni legitimate government and the Southern Transitional Council in Aden, which led to security and stability in Yemen and the service of the Yemeni people with all its components.
It also included respecting the demands of all Yemeni components through dialogue and political action, instead of injecting the blood of the Yemenis and giving priority to wisdom, dialogue and unity of the class.

The American -Russian summit

In its last efforts, the Kingdom welcomed the upcoming summit between US President Donald Trump and Russian Vladimir Putin in Riyadh.
This comes within the framework of the Kingdom’s efforts to enhance international security, stability and the growth of the global economy, by bringing the views of the United States and the Russian Federal.
