المملكة: The Health Museum documents the history of half a century… and rare collectibles that tell the story of the transformation

The Health Museum documents the radical transformation of The health system in the Kingdom for more than 50 years, reviewing the process of transition from traditional treatment methods to Modern Artificial Intelligence.
The owner of the museum, Talal Al-Bandar, explained in a statement to Al-Youm that the idea of establishing the museum came with the aim of introducing new generations to the humble beginnings of health care, and highlighting the stages of its development until it became an advanced system that competes globally.
A rich historical record
He pointed out that the exhibited items are not limited to being medical tools, but rather represent a historical record documenting the efforts of doctors, nurses, and health practitioners. They worked with limited capabilities, and contributed to building a solid foundation for current health progress.
Al-Bandar explained that the visitor experiences a time period that begins with the stage before modern hospitals, where reliance was placed on manual effort, all the way to the use of advanced diagnostic and treatment devices.
The exhibition includes medical collectibles that are more than 50 years old, and were used in the beginnings of dispensaries and hospitals, including primitive medical stethoscopes and paper records that reflect documentation methods before the emergence of electronic systems.
A qualitative health shift
He explained that collecting these pieces took years of research and communication with former practitioners, in addition to obtaining original equipment from medical facilities that stopped working decades ago.
He pointed out that the museum aims to highlight the “paradigmatic shift” that the health sector has witnessed, through a gradual display that begins with simple tools and ends with advanced technologies, including the development of imaging devices and digital processes that contributed to the formation of the current system.
Al-Bandar concluded his speech by emphasizing the The project represents a “message of appreciation” to the pioneers of the health sector, expressing his hope that it will reflect to the visitor the magnitude of the efforts made, enhance the sense of pride in the progress achieved, and awareness of the challenges that preceded reaching the current “quality of life” levels.
