The Abrahamic family house in Abu Dhabi celebrated the second anniversary of its opening by hosting a global summit that honored and embodied the basic values of the house of mutual dialogue, understanding and peaceful coexistence.
The summit “in the dialogue – the voices of tomorrow, the stories of the present” witnessed a series of effective sessions and discussion between a number of senior thinkers from prominent diplomats, cultural leaders, creators and policy makers. During the summit, the speakers participated in their various experiences, visions and strategies to develop a culture of dialogue, appreciation and cooperation with an audience that exceeded 150 guests.
Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, head of the Abrahamic family house, said in his opening speech: “We live in a deeply connected world, but with the increasing divisions and the separation of common floors and the convergence of views, dialogue has become more than just an idea or ambition; rather, it is a basic column for cooperation and coordination necessary to face challenges The great we face.
The main spokesman, Imam Adam Kalewik, the religious leader and prominent defender of the interfaith dialogue, delivered a speech in which he dealt with his experiences in calming societal tensions during the riots in the United Kingdom in August 2024.
Nikolai Mladenov, Director General of the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy, Dr. Marite Westerman, Director and CEO of the Museum and Solomon R Foundation discussed. Gognheim, the role of constructive dialogue in diplomacy and how sympathy can build compatibility and cooperation, in a discussion session entitled the art of diplomacy in the dialogue.
Manuel Rabatiyeh, Director of the Louvre Abu Dhabi and Bill Pragane, the founding coach of the Arts Center at New York University Abu Dhabi, and the Secretary General of the General Exhibitions in the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, Alia Zaal Lootah, discussed the importance of the role of dialogue and cultural exchange in stimulating creativity and promoting innovation in Cultural fields.
Maqsoud Cruz, Chairman of the National Authority for Human Rights, and His Excellency Mohamed Al Hammadi, Director General of the Emirates News Agency (WAM), touched on the efforts made to enhance peaceful coexistence, deepen dialogue between cultures, and stimulate societal progress.
The music author Ihab Darwish, the creative director and artistic consultant, Latifa bin Hammouda, and the photographer Hussein Al -Mousawi, spoke about the importance of the creative narration, and they shared their experiences in embodying the vision and values of the Abrahamic family’s house through music, photography, and arts.
During the summit, the Abrahamic family revealed an exhibition that includes distinguished artworks for Emirati artists, under the supervision of Latifa Bin Hamouda, inspired by the values of dialogue and coexistence.
On the sidelines of the summit, the house of the Abrahamic family and the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy signed a strategic agreement aimed at enhancing interfaith dialogue, cultural exchange, and education.
The agreement includes the launch of valuable initiatives, including a prominent fellowship program that provides an opportunity annually to choose a distinguished world to contribute to research and dialogue on religions, diplomacy and cultural interaction.
It is noteworthy that February coincides with the second anniversary of the founding of the Abrahamic family home. Since its inauguration in 2023, the educational and dialogue center has received more than 600,000 worshipers and visitors, and hosted hundreds of community events, lectures, and workshops.
Throughout the month of February, the Abrahamic Family House presents a varied program of events and celebrations, including the conference of tolerance and human brotherhood organized by the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence and the Council of Muslim Elderly, in addition to the second edition of the competition to recite the Holy Quran in the Imam Ahmed Al -Tayeb Mosque, in cooperation with the General Authority for Islamic Affairs Endowments and zakat.
These programs reflect Abu Dhabi’s commitment to promoting dialogue and tolerance, and embodies the values stipulated in the human brother’s document, which is celebrated every year on the international day of the human brotherhood, which falls on February 4.
