“Emirates Doctors” launches the “Al Freej Mobile Volunteer Health Festival”

The “Emirates Doctors” initiative launched the “Volunteer Mobile Health Festival” under the slogan “For you, my homeland – in the footsteps and approach of Zayed of Giving.”
The festival is organized at the initiative of “Zayed Giving” and the Emirates Preparedness and Response Program “Jahiya”, under the supervision of the Emirates Volunteering Ambassadors, with the participation of volunteer teams from members of the Emirates Community and Specialized Volunteer Program, and in cooperation with government, private and non-profit agencies, in an innovative model of community cohesion, health volunteering and humanitarian giving.
The festival extends over the course of an entire year and tours the various emirates of the country.
The CEO of the Zayed Giving Initiative, Dr. Adel Al-Shammari Al-Ajmi, said that the festival was designed to reach various Al-Furjan via specialized buses that include mobile clinics, a mobile sports center, a healthy food unit, a health education and education center, and interactive platforms to change wrong behaviors, with the participation of health volunteers from the first line of defense who are members of the Emirates Reserve and Voluntary Medical Program, and in line with the vision of the wise leadership for a sustainable healthy future.
Al-Anoud Al-Shammari, CEO of the Emirates Community and Specialized Volunteering Programme, Al-Anoud Al-Shammari, explained that the festival encourages community members to adopt healthier lifestyles, through balanced eating, physical activity for at least 30 minutes a day, stopping smoking, and correcting unhealthy dietary behaviors, which contributes to enhancing the quality of life and a sustainable healthy lifestyle.
