Minister of Housing: Working to implement 100,000 housing units for low and middle income

The Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Engineer Sherif El -Sherbiny, stressed that work is currently being implemented on the implementation of 100 thousand housing units for low -income people, noting that the last offering of the presidential initiative & quot; housing for all Egyptians 5 & quot;, witnessed a great demand from citizens and will work on the offering Continuing to the units within the initiative to meet the increasing demand for the units.

He pointed out that the ministry has a set of targets, namely maximizing resources, paying the wheel of projects, governance, restructuring, and creating a second generation of leaders, and other targets through which we hope to develop the thought in all parties affiliated with the Ministry. The minister touched on the Ministry’s efforts to the presidential initiative & quot; a decent life & quot; And through which the Ministry carried out a large work in a number of villages that included drinking water, sanitation and roads in addition to a number of construction, and periodic meetings are held with the authorities implementing projects to follow up the implementation position and overcome any obstacles. The minister said: Continuous meetings are held with a number of private sector companies to work with the partnership system to provide the units, and the ministry also has many types of legislations for medium housing and over the average and pride, and there will be new residential projects during the coming period in addition to the green housing model, indicating that it has been done Doing a study for all citizens ’needs and will be worked on, and we are working hard to present new ideas and new housing projects to meet the volume of demand in the market. The minister talked about the file of drinking water and sewage facilities, saying & quot; it is a very important file and we have a huge work volume in this framework from implementing, operating and controlling to ensure water quality and quality of work by taking samples permanently and continuously & quot;

and continued: The ministry has 24 new cities of the fourth generation, along with cities from the first, second and third generations, and work has been added to add new urban communities in these cities, and we are targeting during the coming period. That there be new cities that represent an investment destination, including the new city of Suez, because of its ingredients. We have a vision for this region to develop and there is a partnership with the private sector in this regard.

For his part, Representative Ahmed Abdel -Gawad, Deputy Party and Secretary -General, indicated that Today’s session is considered the eighth in the series of periodic seminars organized by the Central Secretariat of the Future Party with members of the government, with the aim of enhancing cooperation between the executive bodies and the party, expressing the party’s readiness to employ all organizational tools to support the development plans implemented by the Egyptian state.

At the end of the meeting, the participants raised a number of topics regarding the housing file in Egypt, including urban estate and cooperatives, and it was confirmed On the importance of continuing dialogue and coordination between all concerned authorities to ensure that effective solutions contribute to achieving integrated urban development, and to meet the needs of citizens according to a comprehensive vision for the future of the sector.
