The start of Sharjah Heritage Days in Al Dhaid

Sharjah on February 21 / WAM / The activities of the 22nd session of Sharjah Heritage Days were launched in the city of Al Dhaid, which represents the fifth station of the festival in the Emirate of Sharjah after the cities of Sharjah, Kalba, Maliha and Al -Hamriyah.
This came in the presence of Sheikh Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, Dr. Abdulaziz Al -Muslim, head of the Sharjah Heritage Institute, Dr. Mohammed Abdullah bin Hayiden, head of the Municipal Council for the city of Al Dhaid, and Hamad Rashid Al Tunaiji, director of the city of Al Dhaid.
Dr. Abdulaziz Al -Muslim said that Al -Dhaid has a special place in the local heritage that is still a similar one between its sons who adhere to their roots and those who are keen to transfer it between generations, and this is undoubtedly an authentic nature that reflects the city’s love of the heritage and its adherence to identity and its ability to dazzle in addition to the generosity of hospitality and the warm reception.
The activities include the establishment of the ancient popular crafts market with the participation of a group of craftsmen, an ancient weapons museum, another that reviews Bedouin life, some of its forms, and a corner for marine life. The exhibits reflected what people have recorded the memory of people from (Al -Sanaa) of customs and traditions that the diversity of popular fashion has increased by joy and luster.
Al -Hosn Square in Al Dhaid also increased with a set of other heritage paragraphs that ranged between folklore and multiple heritage images from the city’s environments, and entertainment workshops also had an important role in deepening the presence of heritage in the hearts of children and adolescents and the praise of those present, visitors and guests.
