The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources announced the availability of licenses for maintenance, reform and Umrah aircraft, during the first edition of the Saudi Aviation Industry Forum held in Jeddah Governorate.
The Ministry stated that the new industrial licensing activities launched in cooperation with the General Authority of Civil Aviation and the General Authority for Military Industries include a number of activities.

These activities include aircraft repair, maintenance, reform and maintenance of drones, maintenance and repair of navigation devices and electronic systems, and repair, maintenance and age aircraft.

The Ministry indicated that the new licenses enable investors to benefit from the advantages of the industrial license and obtain the possibilities and incentives provided for industrial licenses from the ministry and the system.
It contributes to the development and localization of the aviation industry as one of the most important industrial sectors in the national industry strategy.
The exhibition also witnessed the attendance of the head of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Mr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al -Daelj, and the Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Industry Affairs, Eng. Khalil bin Ibrahim bin Salamah.

He announced the delivery of the first aircraft maintenance license to the Middle East Company for aircraft engines, and another license to the Saudi Airlines Company for Engineering and Industry.

It also turns it into a regional and global center in the maintenance and repair of commercial aircraft, drones and military aircraft, by enabling national companies specialized in the sector, enhancing their growth and expansion, and raising their competitiveness.
The Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Industry Affairs, Eng. Khalil bin Salamah, revealed that a new industrial zone for the aviation industry in Jeddah Oasis in the Asfan region was allocated.
