The World Privacy Association chooses “Dubai International Financial” to hold its conference in 2026

The World Privacy Association (GPA) has announced the selection of the Dubai International Financial Center to host its conference for 2026.
A statement yesterday stated that the World Privatization Association was established in 1979 as the first international forum for data protection and privacy authorities, and includes leading international bodies and commissioners in this field.
The association is an independent body that works primarily to protect the rights of information, to serve the public interest, and encourage public bodies to open and transparently and protect the privacy of individuals’ data.
The selection of the Dubai International Financial Center to host the conference confirms its prestigious reputation in the field of data protection and privacy regulation at the region level, as thanks to the Data Protection Law (the Dubai World Financial Center Law No. 5 of 2020), the center provides the highest privacy and data security standards, in a way that promotes confidence International companies and concerned authorities from different countries of the world.
As one of the judicial authorities that facilitate the flow of cross -border data safely, the Dubai International Financial Center Authority is committed to supporting innovation and ensuring data processing in a responsible moral manner.
The hosting of the World Privatization Association conference in 2026 is a concrete evidence of the leadership of “Dubai International Financial” in the field of privacy governance, in a way that establishes its position as a leading global center in the fields of privacy policies, organizational excellence and international cooperation, and hosting the conference gives the center a seat in the association’s executive committee.
The governor of the Dubai International Financial Center, Issa Kazem, said: “The Dubai International Financial Center has set high standards to regulate privacy and data protection issues in the Middle East, and today it has a global grade in this field. We are pleased to host the International Association for Privatization next year, as this event allows the financial center to display its international standards in a manner that ensures that the members of the association become the best ambassadors for Dubai.
It is noteworthy that the office of the Information Commissioner in Jersey hosted the International Association for Privacy Conference in 2024, and when Dubai’s victory is announced to host the event in 2026, each of the Information Commissioner in Jersey, Paul Fein, and the Executive Committee of the International Association for Privacy expressed their full confidence in the ability of the Commissioner’s office Data protection at the Dubai International Financial Center to organize a wealthy and influential program.
