Washington is committed to the alliance despite Trump’s repeated criticism

NATO Secretary -General Mark Route said that more European countries will raise their defensive spending.
He emphasized that the United States is committed to the alliance, after talks in London held by allied countries for Ukraine.

Washington is committed to NATO

“The good news was that more European countries would enhance their defensive spending,” said Route after the meeting, which was attended by Ukrainian President Folodimir Zellinski.
He added that Washington is committed to NATO despite the repeated criticisms by US President Donald Trump to the alliance.

Ukraine joined NATO

US President Donald Trump said in statements that Ukraine “could forget” the issue of joining NATO (NATO).
Ukrainian President Folodimir Zellinski said he would be ready to give up the presidency if he brought that peace and NATO membership.
He pointed out that he will step down from his position if this will achieve a permanent peace for his country under the security umbrella of the NATO military alliance (NATO).
