The English Cantry tops the world rankings "The race to Dubai" For golf
Dubai, March 3/ WAM/ English player Lori Cantry took the lead of the world rankings for “race to Dubai” for the DB World Golf tour, issued today “Monday”, after raising his total points to 1507 points this season, taking advantage of his second place in the Investique South Africa Open yesterday “Sunday”.
Candle, thanks to his victory in the Investik Championship, won 334 points, which crowned this season with the title of Babco Enegese Bahrain, which concluded at the beginning of last February to win 585 points, and before that he achieved third in the Hiro Dubai Desert Classic Championship last January, to get 500 points, among other advanced results.
In the classification, his compatriot, Terrell Hatton, who owns 1335 points, has exceeded the winner of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic Championship this season.
South African Dylan Naido lived a great joy by winning his first personal titles in the DP Dorld tour against his country’s fans, after excelling in the round of Canter by one strike, to win 500 points, and take 25 steps in one go, and he becomes sixth in the “race to Dubai” classification.
The heavy rains that fell on the city of Durban led to the cancellation of the fourth round, and directly heading to the decisive qualifiers at round 18, after relying on the ranking of the players after the first 54 hole in the first three rounds.
The South Africa Open Championship is one of the “International Series” championships in the DB World round this season, which also includes tournaments in Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah in the Emirates, and two championships in Bahrain and Qatar, knowing that the current golf season is floating around the world under the slogan “race to Dubai”, and witnesses the establishment of at least 42 championships in 26 different countries in various continents.
The finals are scheduled to return again to the UAE, with the final qualifiers for the second year in a row in Abu Dhabi and Dubai with the participation of the best players throughout the season in the “race to Dubai” classification in November 2025, which are the Abu Dhabi Championship that will be held in Yas Linux during the period from 6 to 9 November 2025, and the DP and Reld tournament held during the Jumeirah Real Estate Real Estate Club during the period from 13 to 16 of the same month.
