Putin appointed Alexander Darthev as ambassador to Washington

A decree, published yesterday, showed that Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Alexander Darthev as a new ambassador to the United States, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, last week, that Washington gave her the green light to appoint Dartchev during a meeting between Russian officials and Americans in Turkey, and a veteran diplomat spent two long periods at the Russian embassy in Washington, and he was an ambassador to his country in Canada between 2014 And 2021, he is currently the head of the North America department at the Russian Foreign Ministry.
During his second term, US President Donald Trump changed his country’s foreign policy towards Russia, so that relations witnessed a rapprochement after his apathy during the era of his predecessor, Joe Biden.
