Gaza belongs to the Palestinian people, which is an integral part of the Palestinian territories

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi confirmed today that the Gaza Strip belongs to the Palestinian people, and that its separation from the rest of the Palestinian territories is not possible, stressing that the world will not witness stability without peace in the Middle East.

“Gaza belongs to the Palestinian people, which is an integral part of the Palestinian territories,” Wang Yi said at an annual press conference on the sidelines of the National People’s Congress (Parliament of the People’s Republic of China).

He added: “We will continue to seek determination for justice, peace and development for the peoples of the Middle East.”

The first stage of the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel ended last Sunday, without agreement to extend it or the start of the second stage.
