Tomorrow .. Winter World Games launch in Italy with the participation of the UAE Special Olympics
Turin- Italy on March 7 / WAM / will start tomorrow, Saturday, the World Winter Games for the Special Olympics in Turin, Italy, which will be held during the period from 8 to 15 March, in which our national Olympic national team will participate in players representing various state clubs.
The Emirati Special Olympics mission left the sponsorship of Mubadala as an official sponsor of the mission, today, to the city of Turin in preparation for the start of the competitions tomorrow, with a mission of 30 people, including 11 players from those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and is chaired by His Excellency Talal Al -Hashemi, the National UAE Special Olympics.
The UAE Special Olympics players are competing in the largest number of sports among the participating delegations from the Middle East and North Africa region, in 6 sports: running on snow, suburb hacker, artistic skiing, alpine skiing, rapid skiing on a short track, and tablet.
His Excellency Talal Al -Hashem, the National Director of the Emirates Special Olympics Foundation, said that this participation comes within the continuous efforts to provide international sporting opportunities for the UAE Special Olympics players, and to enhance their presence in international sports forums, which contributes to raising their level of performance and expanding the horizons of their participation.
The last period witnessed extensive preparations for the Emirati Special Olympics, which were to organize two training camps in Uzbekistan and Dubai.
