Shooting in the UAE .. continental leadership and history with global achievements

Shooting is very interesting in Emirati society, because of its great association with the national heritage of the UAE, its cultural identity, and its pivotal role in promoting the values ​​of courage, skill and intelligence.

The state adopts many programs and initiatives that contribute to achieving the sustainability of heritage sports, transfer them across different generations, and setting comprehensive strategies aimed at discovering and developing talents with the aim of increasing opportunities for participation in continental and international championships, and achieving achievements in the Olympic Games.

The results of the Emirati teams and teams in regional, Arab and international championships witnessed many achievements that establish the leadership of the UAE in this sport.

The shooting maintains a large and unprecedented historical value, especially since the first achievement in the history of the UAE’s participation in the Olympic Games came after Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashr Al Maktoum won the gold medal in the Sydney Olympics in 2004, in addition to the continuous participation in the world, continental and international championships, and achieving many international numbers, in the rifle competitions, pistol and dishes.

Many heroes participated in the crowning of medals in the world championships, including Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in the archery of the Escite, Saif Al -Shamsi, Khaled Al -Kaabi, and Yahya Al -Muhairi.

The UAE champions of the owners of determination achieved many medals in the world championships, most notably the victory of the champion Abdullah Al -Eryani, with 5 medals in the Paralympic Games, by two golds in London 2012, Tokyo 2020, and 3 silver in Rio 2016.

The shooting championships presented many heroes with determination, including Muhammad Al -Habsi, Abdullah Al -Ahbabi, Saif Al -Nuaimi, Ubaid Al -Dahmani, Mona Hassan, Aisha Al -Shamsi, and Aisha Al -Muhairi, which is the first Emirati to qualify for the Paralympic Games «Tokyo 2020».

The Emirates Shooting Federation has developed many initiatives, programs and plans to build a new generation of heroes who are able to raise the UAE banner in international benefits, provide them with the best conditions by developing local championships, and organizing various events in many of the emirates of the country.

And show in the sport of shooting many competitions that receive great attention, most notably the Emirates Championship, Abu Dhabi Championship, Fazza Championship, and the championship of Hamdan bin Zayed, in addition to many specialized fields for playing this game in the various emirates of the country, along with resorts and private centers, such as the Hamdan bin Mohammed Center for Heritage Revival, the International Sports Sports Resort in Abu Dhabi, and specialized academies.

Women’s participation in the shooting championships received great attention, confirming the great capabilities of women’s elements, which have emerged through the competitions of age groups, in order to enhance efforts to empower women.

The hero Saif bin Fateis stressed that the UAE and its leadership provides all support to its children, to enable them and provide them with the skills and competitive capabilities that enhance their strong presence in external championships.

Bin Fateis called for work on the heroes industry programs and the discovery and care of talents, especially since the incubating environment gives them the opportunity to achieve achievements through motivating programs and gain experiences in local and foreign championships.

The global champion Abdullah Al -Eryani pointed out that the achievements that have been achieved over the past decades culminate in the great efforts and attention that sport receives from the wise leadership, in addition to ensuring the appropriate atmosphere for excellence and competition.

He explained that the owners of anxiety competed strongly to the titles in the Paralympic Games, and they succeeded in overcoming expectations.
