Dubai Women Foundation launches new initiatives and programs to empower women in 2025

Dubai, March 10 / WAM / The Board of Directors of the Dubai Women’s Foundation held its first meeting of 2025, headed by His Excellency Mona Ghanem Al -Marri, Chairman and Managing Director, during which the initiatives and projects that the Foundation intend to implement during the first half of 2025, which include the launch of executive programs, dialogue sessions, new initiatives and specialized reports in the field of women’s empowerment.
His Excellency Mona Al -Marri said that these initiatives aim to increase the economic participation of women, especially in the entrepreneurial sector and enhance the quality of their life in the framework of a more comprehensive vision to consolidate Dubai globally among women’s friendly cities, in cooperation and partnership with the relevant government departments in Dubai and private sector institutions in implementation of the directives of the campus of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and head Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Women’s Foundation, and her Highness’s keenness to provide all forms of support to women in various fields.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Hala Badri, Director General of the Culture and Arts Authority in Dubai, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Women’s Foundation, and members of the Board of Directors, Hoda Al -Hashemi, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategy Affairs, Khawla Rashid Al Muhairi, CEO of the Chairman for the Strategy and Government Communication Sector at the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Hoda Issa Bouhamid, CEO of Marketing in Dubai Holding, Khadija Mahmoud Al -Bastaki, First Vice President of the Group TECOM – Dubai Design District, Fahima Abdel -Razzaq Al -Bastaki, former CEO of the business development sector in local financial markets, and Naima Al Ahly, Executive Director of Dubai Women Foundation.
The projects that the Foundation intends to implement in the coming period include organizing a Ramadan exhibition to support business entrepreneurs from the employees of the Dubai government during the period from 14 to 16 March with the participation of 32 businessmen from 15 government agencies during which the facilities and ingredients that enable employees ’entrepreneurs to display their products and services and marketing them.
Within the framework of the Foundation’s message to support the economic participation of women and enhance its skills in the field of entrepreneurship, the dialogue sessions will focus for the second version of the “Dubai Women’s Dialogues” initiative, which will be organized during the coming period in this field and in which a group of entrepreneurship pioneers will speak in several specialties.
Within the projects of the Foundation aimed at enhancing the quality of women’s life, several lectures and awareness workshops will be organized within the Mental Health Program in next April after the success of the program in its first session in 2024, which witnessed the organization of 5 separate workshops, from which more than 117 employees benefited in 16 government departments and institutions.
The “Dubai City A Women City” report has also been completed within an integrated project of the same name and is being implemented in cooperation with a number of government partners concerned with providing various services to women in order to achieve the vision included in the strategic plan for the Dubai Women Foundation 2023 – 2027 aimed at making Dubai a leading global model for women friendly cities.
Within the framework of the Foundation’s work strategy to build and promote leadership capabilities for Emirati women and qualify them to take leadership positions, the “Upper Egypt Leadership” program will be implemented in cooperation with the Ashraidge Hall College of Business Administration in the United Kingdom with the participation of a number of employees of departments and government institutions.
