The head of food safety discusses joint cooperation with the agricultural attachment at the Netherlands Embassy
Dr. Tariq Al -Houbi, Chairman of the National Food Safety Authority, received Tijo Vermelin, the agricultural attachment at the Netherlands Embassy in Cairo, where the meeting reviewed ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of food safety during the next stage, the meeting was attended by Omar Abdel Latif, the agricultural advisor at the embassy, in addition to a number of leaders of the authority. The representatives of the Netherlands Embassy, shed light on the supervisory role of the National Food Safety Authority to ensure a healthy and safe food for the consumer, as well as its effective role in examining the exported and containing foodstuffs in various ports, within the framework of the authority’s adoption of the risk analysis approach, and taking the necessary measures if there is any of them, as well as its recent assumption of issuing certificates accompanying the shipments The exporter.
