Launching a road to make a road for emergency vehicles in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi, March 17 / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority, under the umbrella of the Joint Traffic Safety Committee in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, launched a campaign “Correcting the Road for Emergency Vehicles”, in cooperation with the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police and the Municipalities and Transport Department represented by the Integrated Transport Center (Abu Dhabi Transport).
The campaign comes in line with the government’s goals aimed at strengthening and raising societal awareness, with the importance of making the way for vehicles and emergency vehicles, ensuring that it reaches accident sites as soon as possible to save lives and property.
The General Command of Abu Dhabi Police confirmed that making the road to emergency vehicles such as ambulances, firefighters and police allows them to reach faster to the site of the accident, which may save lives or reduce the severity of injuries, and that each second has value in emergency situations and that the delay resulting from not making the road can lead to the exacerbation of the conditions, especially in cases of fires or critical medical accidents.
She also emphasized that making the road not only for the benefit of patients or the injured, but also to protect emergency crews who work in dangerous conditions and need to reach quickly and safely to accident sites.
The Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority stressed that the speed of response to emergency vehicles plays a crucial role in reducing the damage caused by accidents and fires, noting that community cooperation and commitment to laws contribute to providing a safer environment for all.
She called on drivers to be responsible while driving, and immediately responding to hearing sirens and seeing emergency vehicles, which reflects the spirit of cooperation in supporting efforts to save lives and protect property.
The Integrated Transport Center (Abu Dhabi Transport) explained that the launch of an awareness campaign to make the road to emergency vehicles is a vital matter to save lives and reduce the time of response in critical cases.
This campaign enhances awareness of traffic laws, improves drivers behavior, reduces congestion, which contributes to the arrival of emergency teams quickly and safely to accident sites. In addition, the spirit of cooperation and societal responsibility and building confidence in emergency services, which reflects positively on traffic and public safety and the quality of life.
The campaign focuses mainly on spreading awareness across various media outlets and digital platforms, in addition to organizing field activities and awareness lectures targeting drivers and community members of various categories.
The campaign also includes clarifying the traffic laws related to making the road to emergency vehicles, and the penalties for obstructing their movement, with the aim of enhancing societal commitment and achieving the highest levels of safety.
It should be noted that this initiative, whose activities will continue throughout the year, come within a joint action plan that contributes to enhancing the concept of road safe transport system and works to achieve the vision of wise leadership in enhancing the quality of life and making Abu Dhabi a safe and safe society in light of the cooperation of the drivers and all road users in order to preserve their safety and the safety of others.
