Expect National Center of MeteorologySeveral regions in the Kingdom will witness today, Friday, and tomorrow, Saturday, corresponding to February 6 and 7, moderate to heavy thunderstorms during different periods of time, with the possibility of torrential rains, hail, and blowing wind activity that stirs up dirt and dust, calling for following up on official reports and warnings and taking caution.
The Center explained that the eastern region is one of the areas affected by the weather condition, as rain is expected today, Friday, and tomorrow, Saturday. Medium to heavy rainin Hafar Al-Batin, Khafji, Qaryat Al-Olayya, and Al-Nairiyah, while tomorrow, Saturday, light to moderate rain will be witnessed in Jubail, Ras Tanura, Qatif, Dammam, Al-Khobar, Abqaiq, Al-Ahsa, and Al-Wadid.

The report indicated that the Qassim region will witness today, Friday, and tomorrow, Saturday, moderate to heavy rain in Buraidah, Unayzah, Riyadh Al-Khubairiyah, Al-Bukayriyah, Al-Bada’i, and Uyun Al-Jawa’. And Al-Midhnab and Al-Shamasiyah, in addition to Al-Asiyah, Abanat, Al-Rass, Uqlat Al-Suqour, Al-Nabhaniya, and Dharayah.
The Hail region will be affected today, Friday, and tomorrow, Saturday, by moderate to heavy rains, including the city of Hail and the governorates of Al-Ghazala, Al-Shamli, Al-Jadhar, Al-Shanan, Baqa’, Samira, Al-Sulaimi, and Muwaqq.
The center explained that the Riyadh region will witness moderate to heavy rains today, Friday, and tomorrow, Saturday. Afif, Al-Dawadmi, Rumah, Al-Majma’ah, Al-Zulfi, Al-Ghat, Thadig, Al-Quwayiyah, and Al-Rain, in addition to Shaqraa, Marat, and Harimala, while the rain will be light to moderate in the city of Riyadh and the governorates of Diriyah, Durma, Al-Hareeq, Al-Muzahmiyah, Al-Dalam, Hotat Bani Tamim, and Al-Kharj.
The report stated that the Medina region will be affected today, Friday, by moderate rain in Medina, Al-Ula, and Khaybar, while moderate to heavy rain will occur today, Friday, in the governorates. Al-Mahd, Wadi Al-Fara’ and Al-Hanakiyah.
The center also explained that today, Friday, the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region is witnessing moderate to heavy rains in Taif, Al-Khurma, Tarabah, Raniyah, Al-Muwayh, and Maysan, while light to moderate rains in the Holy Capital, Khulais, Al-Jamoum, Bahra, and Al-Kamel.
The center stated that the northern border region is witnessing light rains today, Friday, in Turaif, Arar, and Al-Uwaiqila, with moderate rains expected to be recorded tomorrow, Saturday. It may reach heavy rains in Rafha Governorate.
The report indicated that the Tabuk region will be affected today, Friday, by light to moderate rains, including the city of Tabuk and the governorates of Neom, Tayma, and Haql, while the Al-Jawf region will witness light rains today, Friday, in Sakaka, Qurayyat, Tabarjal, and Dumat al-Jandal.
It added that the Al-Baha region will witness moderate rains today, Friday, in Al-Baha City and the governorates of Baljurashi, Al-Mandaq, and Bani Hassan. And villages and agates.
The center explained that heavy rain amounts may range between 10 and 50 mm per hour and more, and may be accompanied by falling winds reaching speeds of 60 km per hour or more, with torrential rains, hail, and high waves on the coasts, and the possibility of the formation of tornadoes or water towers, while medium rain amounts range between 5 and 9 mm per hour, and light rain amounts between 1 and 4 mm per hour.
