The Space Committee of the Engineers Syndicate organizes a scientific symposium in the presence of Al -Azhar leaders and the Minister of Awqaf

The Space Committee of the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate, in cooperation with the Islamic Research Academy and Al -Azhar Center for Sharia Astronomy, organized a scientific symposium entitled & quot; the universe with the eyes of science and faith: a journey in space prospects & quot;.

The event witnessed the presence of a group of leaders of Al -Azhar and the Minister of Awqaf, in addition to a number of experts and researchers in the field of space engineering and technology."RTL"> The importance of space engineering in achieving national security and development."RTL"> Dr. Eng. Ahmed Faraj, Chairman of the Space Committee of the Engineers Syndicate, stressed during his speech at the symposium that space engineering and technology has become a strategic necessity, pointing to its pivotal role in achieving progress and building a strong and sustainable economy. He explained that the development of the space sector contributes to:
– Create new job opportunities in the fields of research, development, manufacturing and technological services."RTL"> – strengthening Egypt’s exports in the field of space technology, and attracting foreign investment. & nbsp;
– Improving infrastructure through smart cities planning and enhancing transport and communications networks via satellite."RTL"> – Supporting National Security through monitoring and reconnaissance systems that help secure borders and protect national resources."RTL"> and stressed & quot; Faraj & quot; On the importance of supporting scientific research in this field, because of its role in achieving new discoveries and innovative applications that benefit society."RTL"> A wide participation from the leaders of Al -Azhar and the armed forces."RTL"> The symposium witnessed the presence of prominent figures from religious, scientific and military institutions, including: & nbsp;

The symposium confirmed that the field of space engineering represents one of the main pillars to achieve the goals of sustainable development and the vision of Egypt 2030, where it is used in:
– Natural Resources Management, such as monitoring climate change, water management, and forecasting natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes."RTL"> – Achieving food security by monitoring agricultural crops and determining their water and fertilizer needs with satellite."RTL"> – Enhancing scientific research and technological development to support Egyptian space industries and increase the country’s competitiveness globally. & nbsp;

The symposium came out with several important recommendations, most notably: & nbsp;
– Enhancing cooperation between scientific and religious institutions to support scientific research in the fields of space and astronomy."RTL"> – Highlighting the importance of space technology in achieving sustainable development."RTL"> – Correcting misconceptions and enhancing awareness about the relationship between science and religion in space."RTL"> – Supporting research projects between the Engineers Syndicate and the Islamic Research Academy in the fields of legal astronomy and remote sensing."RTL"> – Integration of artificial intelligence into space engineering to develop innovative solutions to explore the universe."RTL"> At the conclusion of the symposium, Dr. Ahmed Faraj invited Muhammad Abdel Dayem El -Gendy, Secretary -General of the Islamic Research Academy, to attend a meeting with members of the Space Committee to discuss the possibility of future cooperation, with the proposal to sign a cooperation protocol between the two sides to enhance scientific research in this Domain."RTL"> & nbsp;
