A medical team specializing in maximum surgery at Al -Nour Specialist Hospital, one of the components of the health of Makkah Al -Mukarramah, managed to perform a complex surgery that lasted 10 hours, during which he removed a large tumor from the head of Mu’tara, weighing more than 400 grams, while its size exceeded 7 centimeters.

Receiving and dealing with the situation

The Makkah Health Gathering explained that the patient arrived in the emergency department and she suffers from difficulty breathing and swallowing due to a full blockage in the nasal airway.
After a series of accurate medical examinations, a tumor that extends from the upper jaw to include the oral cavity and nasal airway and pharynx, which necessitated urgent surgical intervention to maintain its safety.

After securing the airway using the trachea tube, the medical team underwent a delicate surgery that spanned ten hours, during which the tumor was completely removed. The patient was also performed to rebuild the tumor area using the 3D Titanium Temple, specially designed for her before surgery by 3D printing technique, with the aim of restoring the structure of the face and its vital functions.

The medical team continues to follow the patient’s condition inside the hospital, where she was recently taken from intensive care to the normal wing after her health status, amid expectations to complete her recovery journey soon.
