The two teams of the National Center for Advice and Legal Affairs reach the quarter-finals of the Mansour bin Zayed Football Cup

Abu Dhabi, March 3, 2026 – The third round competitions in the preliminary round of Group Two in the 13th edition of the Mansour Bin Zayed Cup 2026 Football Championship were concluded yesterday, with the announcement that the National Counseling Center team had qualified as leaders, and the Legal Affairs Office team as runners-up, to the quarter-finals.
The tournament is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, and Head of the Presidential Office, and is organized by the Sports Committee of the Presidential Office in cooperation with the UAE Football Association and the UAE Professional League, at the stadium of the Emirates Palace Hotel, Mandarin Oriental.
The first confrontation between the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority and the National Advice Center teams ended in a 1-1 draw, after a cautious and balanced confrontation. With this result, the National Advice Center team raised its score to 5 points, and the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority team to two points, and Clem Simon also won the award for best in the match.
In the second match, the Legal Affairs Office team raised its score to 4 points and runner-up in the group by tying with the Secretary-General’s Office team, after desperate attempts to settle the result by both teams, and Ayoub Twiger, the Legal Affairs Office’s goalkeeper, excelled to win the award for best in the match.
The teams of the third group are awaiting the final round today, as the first brings together the teams of the Emirates National Schools and the Support Services Sector, while the second will be held between the teams of the Finance and Procurement Sector and the Community Coordination Office.
