Al -Abyad arrives in Tehran to face his Iranian counterpart tomorrow

Today, the national football team arrived in Tehran.

Tomorrow, Al -Abyad will face his Iranian counterpart at Azadi Stadium in the seventh round of the first group of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup Finals.

It is expected that the national team will perform its primary training tonight.

The national team concluded its training yesterday, at the Jabal Ali stadium in Dubai, before traveling to Tehran, where the mission arrived this morning and includes 27 players in preparation for tomorrow’s meeting.

The national team had started its training at the Jabal Ali stadium in the first week of March, with the participation of 13 players before the Sharjah, Al -Ahly, Al -Wasl and Al -Nasr players joined him after their vacuum from their external participation with their clubs.

The closing training in Dubai witnessed the raising of the degree of readiness, and the focus on the defensive and offensive sides in proportion to the importance of the meeting being on the ground of the Iranian team, where the options will be open to the coach from among 9 players in this center, they were chosen for the team’s list.

Paulo Pinto stressed in his statements that the team worked very seriously in preparation for this important match against the best group teams in the qualifiers, explaining that this does not prevent the goal from being the best possible performance and achieving the best result despite the difficulty of the meeting as it is outside the ground.

Pinto pointed out that the new players who joined the national team were able to adapt well to their teammates, pointing out that the player McKenzi joined the team due to the injury.

Pinto added: “We faced difficulties in the previous two games against the Iran national team in the Asian Cup and the qualifying for, but we learned well from this experience and we had to show this in tomorrow’s meeting. We needed more time to prepare for this match and the eighth round match against North Korea, but we are confident of the players’ insistence and determination to provide the best.”
