المملكة: Regularity and suspension of membership .. penalties await violators of “health specialties”

The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties presented the procedural guide to the committee to consider the violations of the working members, through the “poll” platform with the aim of organizing the procedures for considering violations, determining the tasks and powers of the committee, responsibilities and duties of its members, and enhancing performance and effectiveness in completing the tasks related to the committee.
According to what was stated in the guide, the committee is formed by a decision of the Secretary -General of the Authority, and the mechanism of the committee is determined and the issuance of recommendations, in addition to the number of members and the chairman and his deputy.
The evidence also shows that the committee includes independent legal advisers and representatives of the executive management of legal affairs, where one of them takes over the chairmanship of the committee, while the other is secretary of the secret.

Ensuring integrity and transparency

The evidence emphasized that the committee’s meetings are not correct except in the presence of the majority of the members, provided that the president or his deputy attends, and it is also forbidden to delegate any member of another member to attend the meetings about him, to ensure integrity and transparency in decision -making.
In the event of a member of the membership of one of the members, the Secretary -General has the right to assign an alternative to him to complete the remaining period, and he can reshape the committee whenever the need arises.
The evidence indicated that the duration of the committee’s work is determined in the formation decision, and in the event that it is not specified, the period is a renewable year.

Violations of working members

The membership ends in the committee in several cases, including the member’s request to end his membership, or the member is absent from three consecutive meetings or six separate meetings during the year without an acceptable excuse, or in the event that the member violates his obligations, his death, or his inability to work.
The committee shall, according to the provisions of the regulations, are responsible for considering the violations of the working members, as it studies issues related to providing incorrect certificates or experiences, providing information that does not match the truth, or using illegal means to benefit from the services of the authority.
The committee’s tasks also include considering the requests of government agencies to suspend or cancel the registration, if it is proven that there are professional or behavioral reasons that require this, as well as cases related to crimes that violate honor or trust, or cancel the license to practice the profession from the competent authorities, or to violate health professions.

Penalties against violators

The penalties issued by the committee against violators include several levels, starting from canceling the classification decision, referring to the professional evaluation, or suspending membership for a period not exceeding one year, to the cancellation of the entire membership in grave cases.
The recommendations issued by the committee are approved by the Secretary -General, who has the authority to take it, reduce it or re -study it, and it may also suspend the membership of the health practitioner for a period not exceeding three months, renewable once.
In the event that the committee is suspected of a crime punishable by the regime, it is committed to prove this in the minutes of the meeting, and to recommend referring the issue to the competent authority, while continuing in the eyes of the violation, unless this is prohibited from deciding the criminal case first.
The evidence stressed the need for members of the committee to adhere to the regulations and regulations, regularity in attending meetings, maintaining the confidentiality of information, and avoiding cases of conflict of interests.
Members are also obligated to disclose any conflict of interests when it occurs, and to refrain from voting on issues that contradict their interests.
