Distribution of Ramadan meals on the occasion "Zayed Day for Humanity" In Mergib Al -Fahud

Merjib Al -Fahud, on March 25 / WAM / The administration of the Emirati Jordanian camp in Marijib Al -Fahud continued to provide humanitarian initiatives during the holy month of Ramadan.

On the occasion of “Zayed Day for Humanitarian Action”, fasting breakfast meals were distributed to the camp residents of Syrian refugees and the needy families residing in random tents outside the camp.

In a speech to him, His Excellency Saif Khalifa Al -Suwaidi, Director of the Emirati Relief Team, affirmed that this activity comes to commemorate the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “May God rest his soul”, the founder and builder of the UAE.

He said, “Since the beginning of the holy month, we have implemented a number of humanitarian initiatives for the benefit of the refugee brothers in the camp, and the needy families in Jordan in addition to handing over a number of food parcels to the needy families through charitable societies approved in the Kingdom, in order to follow the approach of Sheikh Zayed in humanitarian work.”

The distribution of meals coincided with the conclusion of the Ramadan sporting session in the camp, which witnessed a large public presence of the Emirati relief team and the camp residents, amid a competitive sports atmosphere during the holy month.

Al -Suwaidi stated that the Ramadan session has become an annual tradition in the camp, which seeks to enhance the spirit of brotherhood and cohesion among the people of the camp, spreading the culture of sport, enhancing physical fitness, and spreading the positive spirit among young people.

4 teams participated in the sports session: the Emirati Red Crescent team, the Jordanian security team in Marijib Al -Faih, the Jordanian security team in the western -Azraq -Azraq camp, and the camp residents team.

The players competed in football and volleyball, in addition to the cord tightening competitions, which added a character of enthusiasm and pleasure to the events, in addition to a special competition for the elderly that included running for a distance of 100 meters and rope tightening activities.

It is noteworthy that the organization of this Ramadan event came with the support of the management of the Emirati Jordanian camp, which is supervised by the Emirates Red Crescent Authority.
