Eid in the Emirates .. the tourism sector at full capacity in an exceptional movement and standard reservations

Dubai, March 30 / WAM / The UAE is witnessing an intense tourist activity during the Eid Al -Fittar Eid holiday.
The concerned sectors, including airlines, hotels, shopping centers and entertainment agencies, are working with their full capacity to provide exceptional experiences for residents and visitors.
The figures – announced by various entities, reflects the rate of hotel occupancy, the 90% checkpoint and the increase in Emirates Airlines for its flights in the region during this period – the growing role of the UAE is a major destination for tourism in the region and the world.
Dubai airports explained that Dubai International Airport is preparing for an exceptional holiday season with expectations to receive more than 3.6 million passengers during the peak of travel in the Eid period from March 26 to April 7, to reach the total number of passengers per day 276 thousand guests on average, with estimates of the largest rise in the first week of April.
Emirates Airlines increased the number of flights to destinations in the region by running 17 additional flights during the Eid Al -Fitr holiday, with expectations that this year will travel more than 355,000 passengers on Emirates Airlines on Eid Al -Fitr across the region, along with additional flights scheduled for Jeddah, Kuwait, Dammam and Oman.
The additional trips operated by the carrier in the region 6 trips to Amman, 5 trips to Dammam, 4 trips to Jeddah, and two additional flights to Kuwait.
Etihad Airways revealed that it is preparing to receive an increasing number of travelers during holidays between March and August, with expectations of a noticeable rise in the number of travelers during several periods, including Eid Al -Fitr.
Within the framework of the “Eid in Dubai” campaign organized by the Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the media office of the Dubai government, in cooperation with a number of governmental and semi -governmental and private agencies, the Dubai Festival and Retail Corporation revealed its program that participates in the campaign that started on March 25 and will continue until April 6, including a group of cultural and entertainment events, concerts, fireworks shows, fireworks And shopping and dining experiences, and other activities that will allow residents and visitors to spend the most enjoyable times during the last days of the blessed month of Ramadan and Eid Al -Fitr.
Shoppers benefit from the major electronic discounts that extend between 27 and 30 March, reaching 95%, and visitors to the shopping centers can benefit from major offers and prizes on shopping destinations at the Dubai level during Eid Al -Fitr.
The directors of hotel institutions in the Emirates confirmed that the occupancy reaches its climax during the days of Eid, with the support of both domestic and external tourism.
Hosni Abdel -Hadi, CEO of Carlton Hotels in the UAE, said that domestic tourism was at the forefront of the reservation movement during the days of Ramadan, while the percentage of external reservations is currently increasing significantly, so that the Gulf and Europeans constitute about 70 to 75% during the days of Eid.
He pointed out that the confirmed reservations were up to 80% before the Eid, while the percentage currently exceeded 90 or 92%.
He pointed to the importance of entertainment and other activities in pushing the movement of tourism and hotel reservations during the days of Eid Al -Fitr.
For his part, Mohamed Awadallah, CEO of Time Hotels Group, pointed out that the occupations in Dubai hotels in general exceed 90% with the support of internal and external tourists, noting that the percentage of their reservations is close to full energy.
He explained that tourists from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries lead external tourists in this period, and their percentage is from the total number of visitors and guests of hotel to more than 30%.
He emphasized that the various entertainment activities and shopping centers offers increase the momentum of the external tourism movement at the present time.
He pointed to the role of domestic tourism in raising the demand for hotel reservations during the Eid Al -Fitr holiday week, explaining that all hotels benefit from the momentum of internal reservations, whether near the tourist places and shopping centers, or beach destinations.
In turn, Ibrahim Eid, director of the Royal Beach Hotel and Resort in Dibba Al -Fujairah, confirmed that Eid reservations begin with occupancy rates of up to 95%, noting that the hotel is working at full capacity during this period to meet the increasing demand.
He explained that the local tourists, who are citizens and residents of the state, constitute the largest percentage of guests, especially from Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and represent about 80% of the total reservations, while foreign tourism accounts for 20%.
