Consumer prices rose and producer prices fell in China during December

BEIJING, 9 JANUARY / WAM / The Consumer Price Index in China, a key measure of inflation, rose by 0.8% on an annual basis during the month of last December, according to data issued today by the Chinese National Bureau of Statistics.

The authority stated that the consumer price index remained stable during 2025 compared to the previous year.

On the other hand, the authority’s data showed that the producer price index in China, which measures the costs of goods at the factory gate, decreased by 1.9% on an annual basis during December 2025.
