The UAE stresses the need to protect diplomatic buildings

The UAE stressed the need to protect civil and diplomatic buildings and the headquarters of embassy personnel in accordance with international norms and conventions regulating diplomatic work, after the building of the embassy of the sister State of Qatar was damaged in the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, as a result of the bombing that targeted the city.

In its statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the UAE’s commitment to continuing efforts aimed at finding a peaceful solution to the conflict in Ukraine, stressing its position calling for diplomacy, dialogue, and reducing escalation, in light of the deteriorating humanitarian conditions and the continued suffering of civilians.
