She explained that these tips include “not eating excessive food” and the need for balance in the quantities of food, while avoiding eating large meals at the same time, and starting “today with a balanced breakfast” by eating breakfast that contains protein and fiber to ensure a feeling of satiety for a longer period, and reduce the desire to eat between meals, and “eat sweets in small quantities” and in moderation, and it is preferable to eat it after a healthy meal and not on an empty stomach, And “drinking a lot of water” throughout the day to maintain moisture and avoid false hunger, and “reduce sweetened juices and soft drinks” and it is advised to reduce the intake of sugary drinks that contribute to weight gain and affect negatively on health. “
She pointed out that the rapid increase in weight during the holiday may lead to serious health problems such as a sudden rise in sugar levels or blood pressure, in addition to exacerbating the cases of fatty liver and blood fat, noting that the most vulnerable groups of these risks are diabetics, who suffer from insulin resistance, and people who followed a strict diet during the month of Ramadan.
The therapeutic nutritionist added that the main cause of weight gain in the feast is due to excessive consumption of high -calorie foods such as cakes, applicable and chocolate, especially in family gatherings where pressure on individuals increases to try all varieties without observing the quantities, in addition to the sudden change in the dietary pattern after Ramadan that breeds the body, and increases the desire to eat inappropriately outside the actual hunger times.
She emphasized that relying on foods rich in sugars and saturated fats has negative effects on health, such as digestive disorders and increased accumulation of fat in the body, and that these habits increase the risk of high blood pressure and cholesterol, especially if the person suffers from a lack of drinking water and lack of physical activity.
