A data war threatens not to complete the Egyptian league

The consequences of the crisis of the Egyptian Football League summit match between Zamalek and Al -Ahly, which was scheduled for March 11 and canceled due to the latter’s failure to attend the stadium in protest against the non -recruitment of a foreign referees crew, after he exchanged rivals and with them the leaders Pyramids data in an escalation that threatens not to complete the season.
The crisis began when the date of the Zamalek and Al -Ahly match was determined at the beginning of the championship group matches that the first nine positions qualified for, and Al -Ahly asked the Egyptian Professional Clubs Association to bring in a foreign referees team to manage the match, which prompted it to apply for this request to the Egyptian Federation for the game, which did not respond to the pretext of time shortness.
And on the morning of the match, Al -Ahly issued a statement announcing its refusal to run without a foreign referendum staff and not completing the league competition in the event that its request is not fulfilled. Indeed, the red team did not attend the stadium of the match, to announce the Egyptian referees crew, which was in the stadium.
Two days later, the Clubs Association announced its decision to adopt Zamalek’s 3-0 victory, with 3 additional points from Al-Ahly at the end of the season and the club downloading the financial losses resulting from the cancellation of the meeting.
Al -Ahly responded by submitting a complaint with the Egyptian Olympic Committee against the Clubs Association and the Football Association, indicating that he refused to go into it due to the association of the Clubs Association to bring a foreign referees crew, which was not achieved.
In turn, the Olympic Committee announced the refusal of Al -Ahly’s complaint and the adoption of the decisions of the Clubs Association, before the latter came out on Sunday with a statement in which it announced the amendment of the signature imposed on Al -Ahly and the abolition of the deduction of 3 additional points according to the list of the current season, as Al -Ahly’s failure to attend the stadium of the match is not a withdrawal in this case.
Al -Ahly issued a statement announcing a return to participate in the league while continuing to escalate the case in the sports judiciary, while Zamalek responded with a statement in which he rejected the decisions of the Club Association and demanded that it be revealed the minutes of the session, threatening to escalate in turn and resort to the International Football Association (FIFA) and the Sports Arbitration Court (Cass).
Pyramids entered the line of conflict by issuing a statement, in which he mocked the association’s decision to cancel the points, and threatened to escalate the crisis in solidarity with Zamalek.
A source in the Clubs Association told AFP that “the last association’s decision is final and obligatory for all and no one has the right to object to it,” noting that the list of the current season is different from its predecessor, and that the state of withdrawal and the deduction of additional points does not apply to what Al -Ahly did in the canceled summit match.
“Zamalek will escalate before FIFA and the International Sports Court, and we have confidence in canceling the last association’s decision. What is happening is favoritism for one club and we have complete coordination with Pyramids in this regard. ”
The crisis took a new dimension when Pyramids retracted his request to the federation to bring in a foreign referees crew for his match against Al -Ahly in the second stage scheduled for April 12, Al -Ahly replied to address the federation by continuing the request with its guarantee at the cost of the crew if necessary.
A source in the Pyramids administration said, “We wanted to attend a foreign referees crew already to manage our match against Al -Ahly, but the recent developments have proven the useless, so we retracted the matter,” said a source in the Pyramids administration.
He added, “We did not want to interfere, but the association’s decision violates the principle of competition and makes us an original party in the crisis, so we are in solidarity with Zamalek in its demands, and if it is necessary to escalate a more we will do so.”
A source in Al -Ahly replied, “What is happening threatens not to complete the competition, and the Football Association is fully responsible for the matter. Al -Ittihad refused to bring a foreign referees crew and staggered a crisis with the association, “speaking about the Federation’s favoritism to Zamalek and Pyramids” in more than one position. “
“Al -Ittihad voluntarily waived the conditions of FIFA and granting Pyramids a license,” a professional club “to participate in local and continental competitions without fulfilling the conditions of clean play. The Federation also granted Zamalek the freedom to pay its debts to registration of its players at a time that suits him, and gave him the continental participation license in violation of the regulations.
