The Minister of Environment discusses the latest outputs of preparing the national adaptation plan in Egypt

Yasmine Fouad that the plan will help decision makers to arrange the priorities of adaptation first -hand, by setting predictions of climate change effects until 2100, where a group of consultants works in 6 priority sectors, including public health, groundwater, biological diversity, desertification (valleys, dams) and regions The coastal. and the plan to prepare the plan reviewed its features and by working on an interactive map targeting the priority sectors in adaptation such as agriculture, water and urban movement, with two entrances: climate risk by calculating the volume of exposure of different groups and infrastructure of the effects of climate change, and the other entrance measuring the impact on each sector, by working with the ministries concerned with each A sector, where a set of climate change has been identified such as high temperature and increased wind rate, rain, etc., then the sensitivity, potential damage and adaptation capabilities in each sector of the social and infrastructure side are calculated, and from there the climate risk calculation with a set of sports equations in various governorates of Egypt, in addition to building on current initiatives such as the Nature List Solutions Initiative Enact.
