Industrial product decreased in Spain by 1.9%… for these reasons

The data of the Spanish Statistical Office issued on Friday showed that the industrial product decreased during February for the second month in a row due to a decline in production.
The Statistical Office stated that during February, it decreased by 1.9% annually, after declining 1.2% during January.

Moreover, the decline rate during February reached its highest level since December 2023, when the industrial product decreased by 2.1% annually.
The industrial product recorded without calculating seasonal variables, a decrease of 2.4% annually, after a decrease of 1.3% during January.

The product of the capital commodity sector decreased by 4%and consumer goods by 2.3%, while the output of intermediate commodities fell by 0.7%.

The energy sector in Spain

On the other hand, the energy sector product increased by 0.5% for the second month of this year.
On a monthly basis, the industrial product increased during February by 0.7% after declining 1.2% during January.
