Sharjah, April 7/ WAM/ Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi’s circuit, as part of a “scientific degree” project for April 2025, recalled that His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, obtained an honorary doctorate in the humanities by the American University in Cairo.
In the framework of its monthly project, the circuit, one of the most important honorary honors received by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in February 2009 in Cairo, brought in appreciation of His Highness’s scientific, cultural and artistic contributions to human civilization.
During the honoring ceremony held on the campus, the biography of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and his intellectual and cultural achievements and His Highness’s contributions to rewriting forgotten pages of history, and his continuous support for education and scientific research, made His Highness a model of cultural and cognitive leadership.
The ceremony touched on the books of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, including “The Legend of Arab Piracy in the Gulf -the Omani Empire Department between 1856-1862, and the British occupation of Aden and the Omani -French relations between the years” 1715-1905.
It is noteworthy that the American University in Cairo has continued for more than a hundred years its role as a center for academic excellence, and is classified today between the best universities in Africa and the Middle East, and it embraces a diverse student and academic community, and a group of leaders that contribute to building the future graduated.
