Abdullah bin Zayed receives the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and discusses strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries
Abu Dhabi, April 7 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, received today in Abu Dhabi, His Excellency Jion Permov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the paths of cooperation and ways to develop them in all fields, including development, economic and investment, were discussed, in a way that serves the common interests of the two countries and supports their vision to achieve sustainable development.
His Highness welcomed the visit of His Excellency Jion Pyramov, noting that the UAE and the Republic of Azerbaijan are linked to advanced and growing relations, and there is a common keenness to strengthen them in all fields in a way that is good and prosperous for the people of the two friendly countries.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Excellency Jion Piramov also discussed regional and international issues of common concern, and His Highness praised the declaration of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, their achievement of peace negotiations between them, stressing the importance of this historical step in achieving security, stability and development of the peoples of the two countries and in the Caucasus region.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Ahmed bin Ali Al -Sayegh, Minister of State.
