المملكة: International support for the Kingdom’s efforts to prepare for the Palestinian issue settlement conference

The permanent representative of the Kingdom to the United Nations, Ambassador Abdulaziz Al -Wasel, and the French delegate to the United Nations, Ambassador Jerome Bonavont, at the United Nations headquarters in New York, chaired the first briefing session of the member states and control of the United Nations, on the high -level international conference on the peaceful settlement of the question of Palestine and the implementation of a two -state solution, as part of the preparations for the holding of the expected conference in June 2025, headed by a joint presidency between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the French Republic.
The ambassador, who continued in his speech during the session, stressed that the establishment of an independent Palestinian state is the cornerstone of achieving security and stability in the region, stressing that supporting the two -state solution is a firm and firm position for the Kingdom for decades.

The two -state solution

He also announced the establishment of multiple working groups to discuss fundamental issues related to the settlement, calling on member states to present their visions and proposals in support of preparations.
He explained that the UN conference constitutes an official and comprehensive path that enhances international efforts to reach a just and permanent solution.

Acknowledging the State of Palestine

In addition, the majority of the member states of the United Nations as well as the monitoring countries from countries and regional gatherings in their interventions expressed their full support for the efforts made by the Kingdom and France in preparing for the conference, and affirmed their support for the two -state solution as the only option agreed upon internationally.
She also stressed the importance of achieving practical results that include recognition of the State of Palestine, and rejecting all attempts to join and forced displacement, with the need to support the Palestinian government and UNRWA.
The participating countries appreciated the leadership role played by the Kingdom in supporting the Palestinian issue, its presidency of the conference, its motivation for teamwork, and the preservation of the political and diplomatic momentum necessary for the success of the upcoming conference.
