A parliamentarian calls for tightening market control and controlling transportation tariffs to protect the citizen
Representative Sami Souss, a member of the House of Representatives, affirmed that the decision to increase gasoline prices require an urgent government move to tighten control of markets and parking, in order to ensure that the decision is not exploited to raise prices in an exaggerated manner, or to download citizens with additional burdens without justification ."RTL"> & nbsp;
Souss said, in a statement today, that moving the prices of gasoline and diesel should be associated with strict control procedures, which are undertaken by the executive and supervisory agencies in the country, to control the markets and address any attempts to raise prices by some traders or public transportation drivers without legal support Governorates ."RTL"> & nbsp;
Also, a member of the House of Representatives stressed the importance of intensifying rationing campaigns throughout the Republic, to ensure the stability of basic commodity prices and prevent tampering with them, stressing the need to take deterrent measures against anyone who violates official prices or seeks to monopolize commodities to achieve illegal profits at the expense of citizens ."RTL"> & nbsp;
In this context, Representative Sami Souss stressed that preserving the supply support and not prejudice to the quantities offered from basic commodities, is a necessary matter at this stage, indicating that the supply represents a social safety network for millions of Egyptian families, and it must be strengthened not to reduce it ."RTL"> & nbsp;
Souss also called for the activation of popular monitoring mechanisms, by receiving citizens’ complaints through hot lines and official sites, and following up the reports seriously and rapidly, in a way that enhances the confidence of citizens in the role of the regulatory state, and contributes to controlling the markets and achieving the required discipline ."RTL"> Representative Sami Souss concluded his statement by emphasizing that the House of Representatives will closely follow up on the mechanisms of implementing the decision, and will exercise its supervisory role to ensure the protection of citizens from any unjustified negative effects, stressing that social justice must remain in the forefront of the priorities of economic policies, in a way that preserves the stability of society and preserves the dignity of the Egyptian citizen ."RTL"> & nbsp;
