Rashid bin Hamdan visits the Hamdan Center for Talent and Innovation before its participation in the World robot championship

Dubai, April 12 / WAM / Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan Al Maktoum, Supreme President of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences, visited the Hamdan Center for Talent and Innovation, which is preparing to participate in the global championship of the FFL competition, scheduled for next week in Houston, USA, after qualifying to win the local and national competitions of robot.
Sheikh Rashid met during his visit today, “Saturday” at the Foundation’s headquarters in Dubai, in the presence of His Excellency Aisha Miran, Director General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai, and Dr. Khalifa Al -Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Foundation, with the team members of the students, as well as the administrative and technical staff, where he reviewed their preparations and preparations for the championship.
Sheikh Rashid expressed his great pride and pride in the achievement achieved by the team and its qualification to represent the UAE in the international finals, wishing them success and achieving honorable results that reflect the capabilities and scientific aspirations of the country.
The organizers of the program explained that the local and national competitions witnessed the participation of 169 teams from the various emirates of the country, competing in two phases to qualify for the final qualifiers, where 40 teams qualified to compete for the title of “competition champion” at the national level.
The global competition includes four main sections: “The Robot Tasks Challenge”, during which students design, build, and self -driving robots are able to carry out specific tasks on a dedicated table, with the aim of achieving the highest points, and “robot design” and focuses on presenting the teams for their engineering designs and their ability to develop and improve the performance of the robot professionally and innovative “Marine life and its preservation”, and it is evaluated in terms of feasibility, originality, scientific value, realistic impact, engineering design, in addition to the financial and administrative aspects, and the fourth section “basic values and teamwork” and reflects the team’s ability to cooperate, distribute tasks, sports spirit, and work in the spirit of the team.
It is noteworthy that the Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation team for medical and educational sciences has achieved distinguished achievements in the previous stages, as it won the second place in the category of “the champion of the competition” at the local level, and the first place in each of the “Robot missions” and “robot design” and at the national level, the team achieved the first place in the category of “champion of the competition” and the second place in the challenge of robot tasks.
The team members expressed their happiness with these achievements, confirming their aspiration to achieve advanced positions in the world championship, by enhancing their programming and engineering skills, and presenting their innovative project before an international jury.
