“Musk” institute organizes two artistic exhibitions at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Hall
The Misk Institute of the Arts, affiliated with the non -profit “Misk Foundation” of the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation, is preparing to launch the second edition of the individual exhibitions series, which will be held at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Art Hall from April 23 to September 25, 2025.
This year’s version includes two exhibitions of two Saudi art pioneers who played a pivotal role in forming the artistic scene in the Kingdom.
The individual exhibitions series 2025 includes the works of artists d. Muhammad al -Rusais and Khalil Hassan Khalil, who have prominently contributed to the development of visual arts in the Kingdom for decades, through 58 artistic works that embody the cultural and visual identity of the Kingdom.
“Between the Model” exhibition
The first exhibition “between the model” celebrates the prominent stations in the artistic march of the artist Dr. Muhammad al -Rusis (born in Saudi Arabia 1951), after graduating at the Institute of Art Education in Riyadh, Al -Rusais began to integrate abstract art with impressionist art, to create distinctive representations of architecture and Najdi views.
His academic contributions also constituted valuable and basic resources that affected the Arab artistic scene, and the exhibition is organized with a joint artistic evaluation from the “Musk Art Institute” team, by Aram Al -Ajaji and Nada Al -Aradi.
In honor of Saudi art pioneers, the single exhibitions series returns in its second version with the works of Dr. Muhammad Al -Rusais and Khalil Hassan Khalil.

We heard what I said in dreams
The second exhibition reviews, “We have heard what I said in dreams,” the works of the artist Khalil Hassan Khalil, who was born in Jizan in 1958, and began his artistic journey at the Institute of Art Education in Riyadh, to develop an artistic style from its beginnings, up to the unique artistic philosophy that he invented and called “Al -Halmiya”.
His works are characterized by unconventional structures that combine realistic elements and dreams, which creates scenes of a distinctive and rich in symbolism.
The exhibition offers a unique mixture of studies and paintings, giving visitors an in -depth vision of Khalil’s methods of exploring various humanitarian and experimental topics.
The exhibition is organized with a joint artistic evaluation from the “Musk Art Institute” team, by Shaden Al -Blaheid and Sisilia Rogereri
Shedding light on Saudi art
“The individual exhibitions series expresses the institute’s commitment to highlighting Saudi art and enhancing its position, by highlighting the artistic heritage of local artists,” said Basma Al -Shathri, Director General of the Artistic Evaluation Department and the largest technical values at the Musk Institute of Arts.
She added: “Through this exhibition, we narrate part of our artistic history, and we show the unique voice of Saudi artists, as this initiative reflects the keenness of the Misk Institute for Arts to support artists, and enable them to communicate with a wider audience, while preserving the Saudi artistic heritage and documenting it for future generations.”

This exhibition represents an important opportunity for cultural exchange, as it is not limited to presenting artworks only, but also includes specialized workshops and interactive discussion seminars with artists.
The individual exhibitions series embodies the commitment of the Misk Institute for the Arts to develop a prosperous artistic sector and enhance its presence, which enhances the cultural influence of the Kingdom, and contributes to stimulating artistic dialogue.
It is worth noting that the individual exhibitions series organized by the “Musk Art Institute” provides a unique perspective of the march of influential Saudi artists, as it deepens the essence of their creative practices.
The first edition of the series celebrated the symbols of Saudi art, Taha Al -Sabban and Youssef Jaha, and highlighted their impact on the artistic scene in the Kingdom.
