"Emirates Accounting" The first annual meeting that brings together local and federal agencies in Abu Dhabi is organized

Abu Dhabi, April 16 / WAM / The Emirates Accounting Agency organized the first annual national meeting to be held at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi, with the wide participation of representatives of local and federal agencies in the country, in the presence of His Excellency Hamid Obaid Abu Shabas, the head of the agency, and a number of heads of local agencies, as well as a group of experts and specialists in the fields of governance, accountability and integrity, in a move aimed at uniting national efforts within a strategic vision Comprehensive.

According to a press release issued today by the agency, this meeting is the first national platform of its kind to be held at the initiative of the Emirates Accounting Agency to enhance institutional coordination, and to consolidate the position of the UAE as a pioneering model in developing an advanced and interconnected system, which is effective and transparent at the local and international levels.

The meeting witnessed the participation of more than 60 leaders and experts from various agencies in the country, including the Abu Dhabi Accounting Agency, the Financial Supervision Agency in Dubai, the Dubai Economic Security Center, the Financial Supervision Department in Sharjah, and the Financial Supervision Agency in Ajman, as well as the Financial Supervision Office in Fujairah.

During a series of public and sub -sessions, the participants discussed a set of strategic axes, most notably the importance of foresight as a pillar to enhance integrity and transparency, and the development of a unified framework for governance that is in line with national trends and translates the institutions of the UAE’s institutional.

The meeting came out with a number of practical recommendations, the most prominent of which is cooperation in building capacity and exchanging experiences between local agencies, in addition to supporting the UAE unified representation in international forums, with the aim of consolidating the state’s position as an active contributor in formulating global trends in the areas of accountability and integrity.

Discussions also dealt with the most prominent challenges facing the regulatory system, ways to address them through institutional integration and adoption of the latest practices, in addition to reviewing the mechanisms for employing artificial intelligence and innovation in enhancing the efficiency of supervisory work.

At the end of the meeting, the participants stressed the importance of consolidating the culture of integrity and accountability at the level of state institutions and society, and working to build a joint societal awareness of the importance of protecting public resources, within a coherent system based on national solidarity and coordination, and looks forward to the future with confidence and commitment.
