band "Brave Hatta" Rescue operations are carried out quickly and efficiently

Dubai, April 21 / WAM / The Specialized “Al -Shujan” group of the Hatta Police Center managed to help more than 200 people and rescue 25 stuck in the mountains and valleys during the year 2024, in cooperation with the air wing of Dubai Police and the Dubai Ambulance Corporation, as part of efforts to enhance public safety in tourist and mountainous areas.

Brigadier Mubarak bin Mubarak Al -Ketbi, Director of the Hatta Police Station, stressed that the establishment of the band came at the initiative of His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al -Marri, Commander -in -Chief of Dubai Police, with the aim of supporting the Hafta region development plan and enhancing its readiness as a local and international tourist destination, indicating that the group was formed to achieve the strategic goal of Dubai Police in the speed of response to emergency accidents.

He explained that the band members enjoy high efficiency and advanced skills in dealing with various types of emergencies around the clock, especially in sites that witness a demand from fans of adventures and mountain activities, such as climbing mountains and crossing the valleys, pointing out that the Dubai Police has qualified and trained the team members to be ready to intervene at any time and under any circumstance.

Brigadier General Al -Ketbi pointed out that the band includes a team of bicycles equipped with airbags containing the latest smart technologies associated with the leadership and control center, allowing them to reach the most complex mountainous terrain and rough passages quickly and efficiently, and carry out accurate rescue operations in the deepest areas of the valleys.

For his part, Colonel Abdullah Al -Hofit, Deputy Director of the Hatta Police Station, confirmed that the members of the cyclist team underwent extensive specialized courses in driving bicycles on mountain paths, first aid, the use of drones, and rescue in sweeping waters, as well as advanced exercises in coordination with the helicopter and the operations of lifting the injured using ropes and weather cows.

He added that the training program for the team also included courses in mountain landing, adaptation to nature, stadium security, and tourism security, which enhances their readiness to deal with complex rescue scenarios that require immediate intervention in harsh environments.

First Lieutenant Mohamed Obaid Al -Kaabi, the official of the specialized “Al -Shujan” band, explained that the team is equipped with modern equipment and mechanisms that enhance his capabilities in the rapid response, including modified cars of mountain roads, LED headlights, “Tetra” wireless communication devices, cameras, and live transportation screens from the accident site to the command and control center.

He explained that the team also uses modified four -tire motorcycles, drones equipped with heat cameras for night operations and day, which contributes to supporting their field duties and achieving the highest safety and security standards in mountainous and tourist sites.
