المملكة: Al -Diriyah Hospital .. The interventional radiology team saves a patient from severe bleeding

The interventional and catheter unit team at Al -Diriyah Hospital – a third member of the Riyadh Health Assembly – managed to save a sick life that was subjected to severe bleeding after birth (postpartum hemorrhage), through an accurate medical procedure without the need for open surgical intervention.
The hospital explained that the medical team performed the patient “Uterine Arttery Embolization” using a delicate catheter that does not exceed two millimeters of the right thigh artery, which contributed to controlling the bleeding quickly, preserving the uterus and the health of the reproductive patient.
