المملكة: Abqaiq: 75% completion of the “Strip” project and intensification of infrastructure work
Implemented Abqaiq Governorate Municipality During last May, extensive service and development projects were undertaken, including accelerating the completion of investment projects and launching Food safety, and improving the efficiency of Infrastructure, to enhance the quality of life in the governorate.
The municipality revealed that the completion rate in the “Strip Abqaiq” investment project has reached more than 75 percent, which is being built on an area exceeding 12 thousand square meters.
Supporting the investment movement
This came during a field tour by Abqaiq Governor Zaid Abu Talib, accompanied by the mayor, Engineer Muhammad bin Aftan Al-Dhafiri, to find out the progress of the business and support the movement. Investment in the governorate.
The municipality announced the opening of a specialized center to test and evaluate workers in food and public health facilities, with the aim of raising compliance rates and ensuring the quality of services provided to consumers.
Inspection visits
At the supervisory level, it explained that field teams carried out 743 inspection visits to markets and commercial and food establishments, to verify the implementation of strict municipal requirements.
In the infrastructure sector, the municipality completed sweeping works. And the rehabilitation of roads with an area exceeding 14,500 square meters, in conjunction with the maintenance of traffic safety elements and lighting.
Engineering works
She indicated that the engineering works included painting 10,000 linear meters of sidewalks, and planning 700 square meters of pedestrian crossings in vital sites.
She indicated that the plan to improve the urban landscape included planting 1,950 trees, including 1,250 trees distributed in the governorate, and 700 aimed at developing the entrance to the Basateen neighborhood and supplying it with pedestrian walkways and benches.
Maintenance work
It included maintaining more than 210,000 square meters of green areas, adding 8,100 square meters of soil covers, rehabilitating 300 trees, and modernizing irrigation networks with lengths of 12,000 meters. Long.
In the environmental sanitation sector, the concerned teams removed 7,421 tons of waste, cleaned 240 public squares, washed and sterilized 1,993 containers, and disinfected 25 vital sites.
The municipality concluded its efforts by implementing a community initiative for public hygiene, in partnership with Saudi Aramco and GGC International, to consolidate field environmental awareness.
