The start of the current return .. Spain does not rule out any hypothesis about the power outage

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced on Monday evening that his government does not rule out any hypothesis over the causes of the widespread power outage that flooded the Iberian Peninsula in a state of chaos on Monday.

Sanchez said during a press conference that is the second in one day, and held 11 hours after the start of the accident, whose causes have not yet been determined, that “all possible causes are analyzed, and I insist on that, without excluding any hypothesis or any possibility.”

The start of the return of electricity
After Sanchez’s statement, the REM company, which operates the electricity operator in Spain, announced at dawn on Tuesday that it had managed to return the current to more than 61% on the mainland of the country.

The company said that 61.35% of the electrical current returned, noting that it “continues to work to restore the situation to normal in the electricity system.”

Electricity interruption in Spain

The Spanish Ministry of the Interior announced today the state of emergency after most of the Iberian Peninsula witnessed a power outage.
The ministry stated that the state of emergency will be applied in the areas where it is necessary.

The cities of (Madrid, Andalusia and Extremadora) asked the central government to take over the public order in it.
In the same context, Spanish Minister of Transport Oscar Bennett indicated that the medium and long distance trains in the country will remain out of service today.
This is due to the power outages throughout the country, despite the restoration of electricity in some areas.
