I would like to become the next Pope of the Vatican

US President Donald Trump jokingly said he wanted to become the next Pope of the Vatican to succeed Pope Francis, who died last week at the age of 88.
“I would like to become the Pope … this will be my first choice.”
Trump noted that he has no specific preference, adding: “I must say that we have Cardinana from a place called New York and it is very good, so we will see what will happen.”
Cardinal Timothy Doulan, the head of the New York bishops, is not among the potential candidates for the position, but the list includes another American is the Cardinal Joseph Tobin, the head of the New Ark bishops in New Jersey.
An American has never assumed the position of Pope.
Trump and his wife, Melania, traveled to Rome at the beginning of the week to attend the funeral of the first Gate of the Vatican from Latin America.
Trump and Pope Francis exchanged criticism for a decade, most of which were about to appeal to the Pope to sympathize with immigrants, the group that Trump has repeatedly sought to deport.
About 135 Catholics will soon enter a secret complex to choose the next Pope, without any clear candidate on the horizon.
