المملكة: The Kingdom’s choice of membership of the Board of Directors of the International Digital Regulation Network

The International Telecommunication Federation announced the selection of the Kingdom as a member of the Board of Directors of its Digital Regulatory Network, represented by the Deputy Governor of the Communications Commission, Space and Technology for the ISIS and Competition Sector, Omar Al -Ragharaji.
The choice confirms the international pioneering status that the Kingdom enjoys, the international community’s confidence in its organizational competencies, its ability to lead global digital initiatives, and as an extension of its achievements by obtaining the second position in the G20 countries and the fourth place globally in the readiness of digital organizations, and achieving a leadership level in digital organizational maturity (G5) issued by the International Telecommunication Union.

Digital transformation

The network includes 13 entities representing organizational bodies from various regions around the world to discuss the most prominent challenges and opportunities and share experiences and lessons learned to provide strategic recommendations and directions, in addition to launching programs and initiatives that contribute to accelerating digital transformation, enhancing international cooperation in the field of digital economy, and enabling an environment that stimulates innovation and investment.
It is noteworthy that the Kingdom is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Telecommunication Union for nearly six decades, and it is considered an active contributor to the initiatives and targets of the International Telecommunication Union and its teams and its committees, and the Kingdom seeks to enhance regional and international cooperation and solidarity in the field of communications.
