"Abu Dhabi Book" He hosts a symposium on the role of women in building peace

Abu Dhabi, May 5 / WAM / The Pavilion of the Council of Muslim Elders, at the 34th session of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, organized a symposium entitled “Women and Building a generation capable of spreading the values ​​of coexistence and peace”, with the participation of His Excellency Sheikha Kholoud Al Qasimi, Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Education, and Ambassador Nabila Makram, Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Affairs Abroad previously, in the presence of a number of thinkers, researchers and exhibition.

Sheikha Kholoud Al Qasimi stressed, at the beginning of the symposium, that women not only play a complementary role in society, but rather a authentic pillar in instilling noble human values, and the manufacture of generations capable of leading the future, noting that the intellectual and value challenges facing societies today require tolerance and acceptance of the other is an existential necessity, not just an intellectual choice.

She touched on the importance of the mother’s role in raising children on the concepts of mercy and openness, pointing out that education on dialogue starts from the homes run by wise women, because women are the first institution in consolidating the culture of dialogue, especially through the pivotal role of the mother in teaching listening and respecting views.

Sheikha Kholoud Al Qasimi praised the achievements of Emirati women in various fields, in light of the support of the rational leadership, noting the pioneering role of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates”, President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme Chairman of the Family Development Foundation, which adopted a strategic vision to empower women through integrated initiatives in education, rehabilitation and community empowerment.

She emphasized that the Council of Muslim Elders was keen to integrate women into its global programs, believing that building bridges of dialogue starts from the family, specifically from women.

Ambassador Nabila Makram Obaid expressed her appreciation for the role of women in promoting the culture of coexistence, noting that women are a peace maker, a vocabulary of values, and a heir to societal traditions.

She praised the initiative of peace makers, one of the initiatives of the Council of Muslim Elderly, expressing her pride in participating in the human brother’s document, which confirms in its tenth article the right of women to education and work.
