With 10.4 million scheduled seat .. “Dubai International” continues to be led by the world’s airports

Dubai International Airport, during this May, recorded about 5.2 million seats scheduled for international flights (about 10.4 million in both directions), with a growth rate of 3% compared to the same month last year, topping the world’s airports, according to the periodic report issued by the International Foundation “OAG” provided for airport data and airlines.

This increase in the seat capacity at Dubai International Airport comes with the airport attracting new airlines, opening more destinations, as well as operating additional flights to existing destinations, after he recorded a strong international traffic performance over the year 2024 and the first months of this year.
Internationally, Heathro London Airport ranked second with about 4.2 million seats, followed by Amsterdam Airport with 3.6 million seats and Singapore in fourth place with about 3.59 million seats, and the International Seal International Airport is about 3.53 million seats.
Dubai Airport continued its strong performance, to be ranked second in the world in the total seat capacity on “international and local” flights together, after the American “Hartfield Atlanta” airport, which recorded about 5.5 million seats during April, Tokyo Hanida Airport is in third place with about 4.6 million seats, London Heathrow fourth with about 4.5 million seats and Dallas Fort International Airport in fifth place with about 4.4 Millions of seat.
The Foundation said that, given the world rankings for the month of May 2019, our data shows that Dubai International Airport may submit the largest number of centers during the period until 2025, in the total capacity (on international and local flights) to reach second place in May this year compared to the eighteenth place in May 2019, an increase of 16 centers, and from 3.4 million seats to 5.5 million.
