It is 3 days. Kyiv doubts the truce of Putin and describes it as a media trick
Ukraine questioned the feasibility of the truce that Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered between Moscow and Kiev on the occasion of the commemoration of victory over Nazi Germany.
Kiev promised the truce a media trick on the side of the Kremlin, and instead called for a 30 -day ceasefire.
The truce entered 3 days, in effect at dawn today, Thursday.
The official Russian news agency “Raya” said that “the ceasefire started on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.”
Exchange of air strikes
Hours before this unilateral truce entered into force, Moscow and Kiev exchanged a series of air strikes, which led to the closure of airports in Russia and the killing of at least two people in Ukraine.
The Kremlin said that the Russian forces would respect Putin’s order to a ceasefire, but at the same time they will respond immediately if Ukraine launched attacks.
Kyiv’s preparation for peace
Putin proposed a three -day truce coinciding with Russia’s commemoration of May 9, stressing that this initiative aims to test Kiev’s peace.
The Russian president had declared a short truce during the Easter holiday in April, which reduced hostilities, despite the lack of fully respectful of both parties.
In March, Moscow rejected an unconditional stop of a 30 -day shooting for Kiev and Washington.
